Our Vision

Our vision is simple: excellence and ambition for all.  That means all children. It also means all adults.

We believe every child, regardless of starting point, background or need, should be given the opportunity to achieve highly and to flourish academically, socially and emotionally.

We do not lower ambition because something is difficult. Instead, we consider what support, adaptation or change is needed to make success possible.

For us as staff, this means holding high expectations of the children we teach and equally high expectations of ourselves. We take pride in our work, continually improve our practice and never become comfortable with something simply because it has always been done that way.

Excellence at Riverview does not mean perfection. It means doing the best we can, learning from what does not work and always looking for the next improvement.

Ambition means believing there is always more possible: for our children, for our school and for ourselves.
