Welcome to the PTA!

The PTA is made up of a Committee which has an elected Governing Body. The PTA holds an annual AGM, generally in the autumn term, where these elections take place.

All parents/carers of children attending The Riverview Academy are automatically members of the wider association. We encourage everyone to participate and share their views and opinions, all ideas and suggestions are welcome. To operate successfully and to benefit all the children, the PTA needs the support of all parents/carers.

What we do

Our Amazing PTA work tirelessly organising events for our children.

They have helped to organise trips, someone special events, end of Term treats and are also a part of our Riverview Community BBQ, held for the first time last year and it was a huge success.
They have been key to providing fun things for our children to take part in, learn from and play with.

Where the money goes

All funds raised by the Association are used to support The Riverview Academy. The PTA works with the school to decide on items, events and activities where the money can best be used. In a climate where many schools are struggling with funding generally, the PTA provide an invaluable addition and support.

From September 2025, all funds raised by the PTA will be listed here so parents/carers can see how much is being raised for the school. Additionally, we will also be sharing how the funds are being spent so it’s really clear how they are being used to benefit all the children at Riverview!
